The European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) requires entities that collect data from individuals to only collect data with explicit, specific permission (opt-in), to protect data, and to allow individuals to review data and have data forgotten. I collect the names and email addresses of people who consent in advance to receive email communications from me, and I keep records of prizes and free books I give out, plus subscriber preferences for genre and the frequency of communication. I do not sell or share this information with any individual or business. I maintain the subscriber records in secure list service providers that enable individuals to follow easy procedures to unsubscribe. Note that if you report my emails as spam, you will not later be able to resubscribe with that email address. Please contact me via this form to request data erasure from my backup records (the right to be forgotten).
