New Author Photo for Me
I’ve been in two businesses for a long time that require official photos. I’m not talking about photos for driver licenses or passports, or even avatars. I mean the photo that officially represents me. In the acting business, I’ve had hundreds of photos of me, and that’s not counting film or television appearances. In the writing business, I’ve had considerably fewer, which is to say, three. Since my last one was ten years ago, I figured it was time to get a new author photo for me.
This one was taken by the fabulous Regina Wamba.

Yes, my hair is teal blue. It has been various colors over the years, notably magenta and purple, which is another favorite. It will likely be other colors in the future.
Because I usually don’t fare well in candid photos, I learned the habit of smiling cheerfully whenever someone points a camera my way. Regina gently suggested a few more, uhm, contemplative expressions. I’m glad she did because I like this photo a lot.
Maybe in another ten years, I’ll do it again and have another new author photo for me. Until then, this is officially me.
That is a great picture and that’s awesome that your hair is teal blue! I also like your glasses, I have a red frame for my glasses as well.
Thanks for the kind words. I have several colorful frames from which to choose because I rarely throw away the old ones, I just get new lenses for them.
