Playlist for Stellar Drift
When I’m working on a story, I like to find music that helps set an emotional vibe or expresses what’s going on with the characters. I made a playlist for Stellar Drift, my space opera romance story set in the Central Galactic Concordance universe, and now I’m sharing it with you.

“Walk Through This World” by Marc Cohn

I love how this song expresses how hopeful and yet bewildering it can be when falling for someone. “Don’t get me wrong, if I’m acting so distracted. I’m thinking about the fireworks that go off when you smile.” Once circumstances throw Houyen and Sairy together, Houyen can’t stop thinking about Sairy, even though he senses she has a lot of secrets.
“Come Away With Me” by Norah Jones
This song is so intimate and full of longing and promise. Sairy would like to steal away with Houyen and tell the rest of the universe to take a hike. Unfortunately, there are mysteries to solve, treasures to find, and people who will stop at nothing to get there first. Still, it’s nice to dream about finding a private, quiet place for romance.
