Meet Sairy, Fugitive Pilot

Hiding from a past that haunts her, she’s spent years atoning for a mistake she believes she made. Her life is governed by a single, simple rule: trust no one, especially not a government official. Romance? Connection? That’s for other people. Sairy’s goal is to stay hidden and manage the ghosts of her past, one day at a time. She is in a holding pattern and sees no easy way out.
Meet Ranger Houyen, Idealistic Ranger
Hero Houyen Albasrey, Ranger for the Nature Reserve, is the exact person Sairy needs to avoid. He’s kind, honorable, and deeply committed to his duty. He’s also a government man, working for the very agency Sairy is hiding from. But Houyen has his own problems. In his own way, he’s in a holding pattern, just like Sairy. He’s an idealist trapped in a corrupt system, and he can’t ignore the deadly illness plaguing the locals — an illness his bosses want to pretend doesn’t exist. All Houyen wants is to find the truth, even if he has to break the rules to do it.
A Fragile Alliance
Although Sairy and Houyen have known about each other for a while, a chance encounter forces these two together. Sairy finds Houyen dying from the very illness he’s investigating, and her conscience won’t let her walk away. For Houyen, his mysterious rescuer becomes an obsession he can’t shake. The attraction between them is immediate and undeniable, but the obstacles are massive. She’s a fugitive with a world of secrets; he represents the agency she’s terrified of. To get what they want, they’ll have to trust each other. But in a rainforest full of danger, trust might be the biggest risk of all.
